Hello, and welcome to my #RevPit Bio!

First of all, I want to give credit to the amazing artist who did this image, Nate Hallinan. Replace Earth with the Sandarin moon, and you’ll know a lot about my book from just one look. In fact, I knew nothing about this artist when I stumbled across this image, but he captured the essence of my character, her world, and what hell she’s about to get throw into.

Anywho, for my followers who will see this post soon, #RevPit is an annual contest put on by the editors at Revise & Resub. Be sure to check out the link for contest rules or follow @ReviseResub on Twitter for all the latest announcements. Or follow the #RevPit hashtag to interact with the editors, meet others in the writing community, and play some fun contest games.

If you want to add your page to the #RevPit #BioHop, click the link and let Calgon take you away.

I’ve been watching a lot of Arrested Development lately. I should probably apologize for the forthcoming gifs, but nope. 🙂

Who I am:

I’m a freelance web developer and graphic designer who has worked for the past decade alongside Williams Helde on a diverse range of projects for large corporations and independent businesses. My professional portfiolio includes digital book designs, email media, newsletters, role-play banners, and I sometimes blog about the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow.

As a child, I fell in love with fantasy worlds like those found in the books of Andre Norton and Mercedes Lackey. This love continued well into adulthood with the worlds of Ivan Cat, Rand & Robin Miller, Terry Brooks, Orson Scott Card, and E. R. Mason. I currently reside in the rainy Pacific Northwest where I work with a broad range of client projects, plot how to destroy my characters’ lives, and occasionally falls down rabbit holes.

What I write:

Adult fantasy and science fiction. I have children, which is why I escape into adult books where whining can easily be fixed by a sharp sword or very large dragon teeth. But that’s just for my novels. I also have a yearly Winterviews project, blog book reviews, and recently started The Ready Room series.

My Project:

Linnea Sinclair’s An Accidental Goddess gets thrown into a grimdark fantasy world for fans of Michael R. Fletcher’s Beyond Redemption. Bloodflower is an adult science fiction novel following Jàden Ravenscraft, a trainee trying to gain acceptance into the Bioengineering Guild. But the Violet Flame—a universal theric energy—keeps taking control of her body, and Enforcers have been ordered to shoot.

Abducted and subjected to torture, Jàden’s barely clinging to the last thread of her sanity when war breaks out across the starship Hàlön and its captured moon. She tries to escape and is forced into a hypersleep pod. When she awakes, she’s plunged into a world of swords and sorcery, with an army targeting her back and Frank tracking her from the skies. But the Flame isn’t finished, and if Jàden can’t keep her magic contained, she’ll become the monster Enforcers feared.

Let’s hang out:

I’m around Twitter a lot, so mostly you’ll find me there. If we’re not following each other yet, let’s connect. You can also find links to my other social media in the right hand column of this site… cuz, you know… my site. Or if you’re really a glutton for torture, feel free to click on the follow link and subscribe to my posts. Bring alcohol.

Ready to run away screaming? Be sure to check out the other #RevPit #BioHoppers. 🙂
