I’m so excited to once again connect everyone with one of Winterviews’ long-time partners and a fantastic lady, romance author Lexi Miles.

Please introduce yourself and tell us what genre you write.

I am Lexi Miles. I write romance, romance suspense, and paranormal romance. As you can see, I like to change it up. I call it the four flavors of Lexi, Sweet (general audiences), Fire (spicy reads), Alarm (erotic), Magic (paranormal).

What are you working on now?

I am always working on a few books at once because for me that keeps things fresh. I am working on the sequel to RUN called ESCAPE, a royal romance called THE ROYAL VISITOR, and PRIVATE LESSONS. There are more, but those are the ones in circulation right now.

ESCAPE picks up a couple months after RUN ended. We get to find out what has been going on with the couple since Judy found out about Blake’s real job as a specially trained agent. We get to find out more about who Blake works for, how the couple met, and that Judy this time around has been keeping a pretty big secret herself. All of which comes to a head and becomes the focus of ESCAPE.

THE ROYAL VISITOR is the first installment of many royal stories. This particular novel is about a prince that needs to lay low because the royal family cannot have a scandal due to a sensitive political climate. Therefore the advisor’s baby sister Josie gets stuck babysitting Prince Connor in the states.
PRIVATE LESSONS is about a woman named Ryan who is learning who she is again after an abusive relationship. Her best friend has set her up to learn self-defense to help her build her confidence, but as handsome as Jimmy, the instructor is, is her best friend up to more? Ryan smells a romantic setup. Is she open to his private lessons? Or is she shut off forever to love?

All of the stories are very different, and I am having a blast writing them.

What are your next releases?

Wildfire
Blazing Winter
Wedding Nights

What do you love most about writing?

From a writer’s point of view, I love everything about it (all stages). It is such a freeing experience to create without limits. I love that.

From a creator’s point of view in relation to my readers, I’d say that it offers them a form of escape and fun! And if someone is going through a tough time, bad day, or just because it is relaxing, even being able to help them take a break for a small span of time and have a fun experience, that is incredible to me!

What is your favorite go-to drink while writing?

Tea, water, lemonade, or hot cocoa. It all depends on what I am writing. When I wrote CABIN FEVER, I drank a lot of hot cocoa to get me into the wintery feeling. It helped me pull out the authenticity in the moments in the cabin.

Lexi brought everyone a special treat today – an interview with her main character from Wildfire, Bella.

Hi, can you please introduce yourself? Tell us a bit about what is going on in your world?

I’m Bella. I do IT and provide administrative assistance at a firehouse.

Can you describe a relationship that is challenging you right now?

I have a small thing for one of the firefighters. Okay, perhaps I have caught feelings for him deeper than I would like to admit. I try to play it cool, but something happened recently. I found out that he got an offer to promote out of the firehouse and now I’m feeling all kinds of pressure to tell him how I feel.

What is one thing that scares you? One thing you are proud of?

Scares Me: Overall, losing one of the firefighters in a fire. They are my family.
On the romance front, losing my chance at love with him as well as changing our dynamic. Right now we work great as friends, and I am not sure that I want to risk messing things up between us especially if his feelings aren’t mutual.

Proud of: My firehouse family. They are strong, brave, and some of the best people I know. Being around them has helped me to become more of who I am and want to be.

Three words to describe you?

Sometimes Shy, Always Encouraging, and Huge Heart

Do you have one secret to share about your story?

Dating in the firehouse is not forbidden, but there is definitely a secret rule that it is frowned upon. Oh, and I know a secret about someone that could spell big trouble for the firehouse.

What kind of fashion do you wear?

I dress conservatively unlike my roommate. She is much more stylish. We discovered a few years back that Boho/conservative librarian is my sweet spot. And I cling to that.

Who is the most important person to you right now?

My roommate and firehouse family.

Have you had to make a sacrifice, if so was it worth it?

Yes, but I cannot talk about it here.

What would you say to anyone that is going to peek in on your story?

It will have a few ups and downs and is fun from start to finish.
